Green Bits is a web product – a new breed of retail point-of-sale and store management software that helps marijuana retailers stay compliant and grow their business. We are throwing out the antiquated desktop-based point-of-sale model with modern iPads, touch screens, and fun-to-use software. We are disrupting markets, building innovative technology, and finding a huge demand for our services. Our customer base is growing like crazy and we need to give our users the best technical support possible.

Technical, web, retail, helpdesk, or customer service are all valuable, as is some exposure to software development and accounting principles. Above all else, we are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and enthusiastic about helping small businesses. Desire to learn, a sense of humor, and empathy for the needs and challenges of our customers are the most important qualities for success.
This position is located in Portland, Oregon.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Teaching our customers how to use Green Bits
- Promptly answering incoming support calls, chats and emails so that our customers feel loved and supported
- Diagnosing and solving complex problems while escalating the tough ones to engineering via our ticketing system
- Assisting the sales team with customer onboarding and training
- Writing web content for our customer knowledge base
- Keeping a sharp eye out for repeat problems that require more permanent solutions
YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- An even temper in the face of customer frustration
- A remarkable ability to multi-task, organize, and work with rapidly changing priorities
- Experience supporting computer users remotely to fix basic networking issues
- The ability to effectively explain technical concepts to people with limited computer skills (Imagine teaching your grandmother how to pair a bluetooth speaker to an iPad)
- A good grasp of Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Hangouts)
- Experience with Zendesk
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- The ability to write easy-to-read, straightforward how-to’s
- Knowledge of the cannabis industry
- Experience in software testing

The qualified candidate for this position has a background with chocolates and/or baking and is passionate about building a quality name in the cannabis industry. No cannabis industry experience necessary, just drive and ambition for creating the ultimate cannabis infused food products.
Pay varies based on experience. This is a salaried position for the right person who is able to completely run and manage the kitchen.
